Welcoming and friendly home based child care

OFSTED Registered Childminder in Watford (WD18)

Introduction

I am 28 years old, married and live with my husband and daughter in Watford

I was born and brought up in London. I gained a BA Hon Degree and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from the Institute of Education.

Previously, I was a secondary school teacher in Humanities in a private girl’s school for 3 years. During this time, I gave birth to a baby girl, now aged 2 years.

I am an experienced fully qualified OFSTED, CYPOP 5 and NCMA Registered childminder.  As well as also being first aid trained, I am DBS and social security cleared by OFSTED.

Home

I provide a very warm, welcoming and homely place for your child which includes state-of-the-art technology and learning tools for all ages. Children will have access to a variety of areas in my home which are safe and suitable for children. I have direct access to the park designated to my home.

My Philosophy

My aims as a childminder are to provide children with a stable, loving and safe environment to play in, have fun and learn. I would like for all the children I look after to feel part of my family and feel at home and comfortable whilst in my care.

I will be happy to meet most of parents or carers needs, to keep to their child’s routines where realistically possible. I hope to provide equal chances for each child to learn and develop to their full potential. All children and parents or carers will be treated with equal concern and will be made to feel welcome in my home.

I am a firm believer in the EYFS statement “learning through purposeful play”.
